Senior Digital Forensics Examiner - Hampshire, UK

Role:
• Full time
• Salary: subject to experience
Summary of Role:
The primary role is to capture, process, analyse and present digital evidence in support of the defence, prosecution and commercial organisations. Providing expert witness services in court cases, and you will have a field based commitment and be expected to lead in digital evidence recovery and examinations.
Description of Tasks:
• Imaging and extracting data from digital devices and producing reports and updating case management as required;
• Dealing with Customer enquiries;
• Generating and progressing new business leads internally and externally;
• Provide advice, guidance and support regarding technical Forensic matters;
• Keeping up to-date with new digital devices & techniques;
• Training junior team members as required;
• Training external clients with FMS courses;
• Providing support for a 24/7, 365 forensic service;
• Managing own workload effectively and supporting junior members of the team;
• Provide assistance and support for FMS’ IT infrastructure and network;
• Supporting FMS’ application for ISO17025.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to the Digital Forensics Manager for the timely and accurate processing of digital devices. Deputising as the Digital Forensics Manager when required.
Academic/Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience/certification in digital forensics or a related field.
Attributes and Experience:
Excellent understanding of IT and Network Technology;
At least 3 years current commercial, legal and police casework experience;
Successful management of digital forensic investigations;
Proficiency with current forensic software such as FTK, EnCase; IEF, NetAnalysis, NUIX Proof Finder, Forensic Explorer; Familiarity with Windows, Macintosh and Linux/UNIX operating systems;
Familiarity with a wide range of mobile phones and computers;
Experience preparing cases for court;
Experience of giving expert evidence in court;
Previous Team Management experience;
Good attention to detail;
Previous experience of extracting data from digital devices;
MS Excel/Word;
Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Good interpersonal skills
Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of the role applicants will be required to be security vetted CRB and CTC; therefore applicants must be currently and permanently resident in the UK and have been for at least 3 years.
