Job Description

Want to work for the experts in digital forensics? Are you are passionate about Hardware Engineering and need an environment where you can grow and flourish? If yes, then read on. MCMS are world class leaders in digital forensic technology, we specialise in customising elite high tech products for an exceptional client base and are looking to invest in a Hardware Engineer, with at least 2 - 3 years’ experience in system and hardware engineering from a defence background and that holds a degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering. You will assist with the design and product management of our Hardware additions to our software solutions. You will be involved in the full life cycle of MCMS product development.
You will be able to maintain a good awareness of new/emerging and innovative technologies and provide excellent customer service at all times.
You will be expected to be able to take ownership of research projects given to you and deliver to deadlines whilst keeping your team informed of any progress/issues.
You need to be a strong leader, having worked well with clients and subcontractors and be dead line driven and be able to work in a team into completing project deadlines.
The company is expanding and we are seeking a part time hardware engineer to add to our team. You will join a company dedicated to its development and rewarding staff on merit with opportunities of promotion within.
You will be competent in technical drawings and PCB design, have the ability to communicate with manufacturers to assist with the production of the product. You will be required to support our established Development Team in the development of the Company’s products, whilst improving upon your existing relevant knowledge and skills.


Skills and Competencies:
•Experience within Multi-layer PCB Design
• Programming in Linux
• Programming in Python
• Good communication and presentation skills as this role may require some customer facing elements
• Product test and design experience
• A good knowledge of Batteries and Power

Qualifications:
A good degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
