The .spl file should have emf file or files embedded (for lack of better word) within them that represent the printed pages.

Export one of them (00202.spl) out of FTK and then re-launch the program ...

If I understand you correctly Encase can pretty much do what you are asking. I'm using v6.2 and just dragged a PST into the case window and then mounted by "Viewing file structure".

I stand corrected as lotus also uses the same extension the headers in the previous post seem to belong to lotus 123 files.

Works spreadsheets that I downloaded look to have a header of:

I've never worked with works spreadsheets but downloaded a couple off the net (.wks) and the three I picked up all have bytes 0-7 as:

00 00 02 00 04 04 06 00
