I've done a search here but was wondering if anybody has any recent experience with their courses. i'm taking the CHFI course in June. Course content looks pretty thorough.

I have not, but I do teach the CHFI. It's a fun course. Personally though, I think everyone in the field should be required to take the CEH or equivalent too. You can effectively analyze the data if you doing know how the crimes are committed.

I agree that a background in CEH is important, which is why I've cleaned out the local Borders "hacking" section in the last 3 months. Those books are a real eye opener. My background is ~20 years in IT, tech support, all manner of programming, project lead, systems analyst, sys admin, etc, ad nauseum - and thats all pretty general, but good, background compared to the specific application of CF and EH.

Looks like long days in class for the CHFI - and thats good! Class starts ~830, runs til 6ish, then optional nightly labs til 10pm or so. I can geek out to my hearts content.

I have not attended their forensic class, but I did attend their advanced penetration testing class. The instructor was great. Yes, you are in for some long days ahead. The instructor had actually sat in on the forensic class and said great things about it. Let me know, as I am hoping to also take their forensic boot camp soon. Thanks
