Principal Computer Forensic Investigator - Law Enforcement

Are you an experienced Forensic Investigator who, whilst still enjoying working on the more complex cases, is now looking for a role where they can become much more involved in running research projects in your specialist area(s)?  Or where you can play a key role developing and evaluating the technology within a Computer Forensics laboratory?  An organisation that genuinely encourages your personal development by ensuring you are able to regularly attend training courses and conferences as well as providing the opportunity to follow longer learning programmes such as an Msc in Computer Forensics?

This major Law Enforcement organisation require an experienced Computer Forensics Investigator to undertake all the activities mentioned above as a senior member of a Team conducting evidential analysis and processing of computer evidence.  In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to spend a large proportion of your time monitoring Forensic Analysts and investing your experience and training skills into coaching and developing more junior staff.  You will also take responsibility for ensuring that all tasks performed within the laboratory match the high professional standards required.

To be successful in this role you will of course have a detailed knowledge of the technology required for the examination and forensic analysis of computer equipment along with a practical knowledge of legislation in this area.  However, you will also have expert knowledge in specific area(s), such as hardware, software, programming, telecommunications or electronics and be passionate about developing technology.

*** Please note that there is a closing date of 18:00 on Wednesday 28 June for applications for this position.***
