The team provides forensic services supporting investigations through the acquisition of electronic data and subsequent analysis and presentation of evidence. The Investigator role is an integral position in the investigation process and successful candidates will have interesting and varied work in forensic data & systems analysis.

Competencies and Attributes - Investigators are required to have a wide range of attributes and skills. The successful applicants must have the maturity and people facing skills required to deal with what can be difficult and sensitive situations. You will be highly literate with exceptional levels of accuracy as your work is often used in court. You will need to have the ability to write concise and accurate reports as well as high levels of integrity as Investigators are often privy to confidential information.

Technical Skills - You need to be skilled with the use of structured data, database concepts and query techniques as well as a strong understanding of computer hardware and operating systems. You will have a working knowledge of business systems and an understanding of how transactional systems record and process data - e.g. accounting or supply chain systems.

Hardware certification and experience with software tools such as Encase or FTK is required along with the ability to read HEX. A solid grasp of data storage, email and internet technologies as well as knowledge of VB, Java or Oracle would also be beneficial.
