Whilst doing some testing on the Iphone using Xray I have come across several calls with a "Busy" call status. Does anyone know what this is? The duration of this call is shown through Xray as 0000. I manually checked the phone and the same calls are being shown in incoming and outgoing calls.

When you are dialling a call using the iPhone and the recipients is on another call and doesn’t have call diverts enabled iPhone will indicate 'BUSY' on the screen. So Dialled call that do not connect to the recipients phone because the recipients phone is busy are extracted with a 'BUSY' status when acquired through '.XRY'.

I have only seen the Busy status only for the outgoing calls. I know when you are on an active call on the iPhone and someone else is trying to call you you can toggle between the active call and the incomming call. Maybe if you ignore the new call and because you are on a call that incomming call is logged as an incomming busy call?????? but that does not make any sence!!!!

I will test this out some time this week, and share the outcome with you. Sorry couldnt be of more help…

I just tested that and it is just displayed through xry as a missed call. Thanks for your input and I look forward to hearing your results. There must be an explanation or it… hopefully we can figure it out!

The call type is denoted by a value in the call register database on the handset. Sounds like MSAB may have wrongly identified the call type.

Examples of call types are

Dialled
Missed
Received
Busy
Call dropped/failed
