Hello
I have a mobile forensics interview soon and was wondering if there are any tips, advice and any information that i may be required to know for the interview or what to expect in the interview?
Thanks for your help
PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
Familiarity with GSM standards?
ACPO
Various acquisition methods?
thanks for all your messages and comments - i have an understanding of ACPO and have used some mobile forensic software.
Don't know your background and only got a few secs (got to watch a film with my missus)
Think about how you would approach a given examination, what sort of problems you might encounter and how you would get around them.
Try and have an understanding of the different stengths and weaknesses of the tools.
Be able to discuss the implications of a manual extraction/jailbreaking or if some code is uploaded to a phone in order get a dump
Be able to talk about the importance of evidence handling.
any many more )
These may sound obvious but it is frightening how many people freeze at interview on subjects that they know well but have not considered from an interviewers perspective.
Thanks for the advice - my background is very limited as i am a graduate and have some experience of using .xry and xact.
