Hi, short story goes

One of government sites was defaced and I was asked to find the hacker.
Hacker left his alias and his avatar on main page, but the rest of
site stays intact.

Via google I find one hacker forum where someone with same alias and
same avatar claim that he defaced that particular site (dates are the same).

On his profile page I find his day of birth (minor), his first name
(partly from his emale address) and from his topics find a name of
his high school and home town (he ask for help to defaced it).

Alias and his day of birth I find on some online gaming site too.

Since this is new for our legislature I looking for experience from
other countries. Is this enough evidence for legal actions?

Cheers

Is this a criminal investigation? What are the search and seizure laws in your country?

If you are looking for legal foundation for a case, you should seek legal counsel from an attorney that understands Czech law. I am not sure you will find such, here.

If you seek assistance with forensic methods in gathering the evidence for the case, many on this site will be able to help you.

Best of luck to you.

These are kind of broad brush strokes. There are intricacies for every case that warrants the procedure based upon the incident and the initial circumstantial evidence.

Remember computer forensics offers a non-partisan approach to the evidence; it is what it is. Now is what you found in the hands of those who enforce the law worthwhile? Can questions of intent or impact be sorted out?
That's the gray area left up to law enforcement, prosecutors and the legal system.

Unless you have a video of the person doing the act, signed statement and/or an eye witness - computer forensics evidence is still just circumstantial evidence for all practical purposes.

Use the scientific method

With so far gather evidence, we find hacker address and further investigation lead
us to his internet provider. Provider was very co-operative and agree to monitor
hacker activity in next period. His log files will be strong evidence for solid case.
Since this become police investigation, my job is finished…

Thanky all
