Has anybody had an instance of the above.
We have had three separate events in the office, each time a Lyca SIM has had a P.I.N. lock we have ignored it and continued anyway.
The P.I.N. protection does not seem to work.
On all three occasions we have had a "successful" examination, the SIM has given up IMSI ,call data messages on one of them and contacts on all of them

When you examine the SIM are you using XRY and does it ask for a PIN or PUK to be entered or a 'Password'?

Yes on X.R.Y.
When the splash screen appears asking you for pin / puk, just pressed skip and it continued and recovered the details mentioned

We had this on XRY, an examiner thought the SIM card was PIN protected but XRY was actually asking to password protect the extraction file.

Therefore, when pressing skip, all the data was recovered as it was not PIN protected. A pop up appears with two boxes to enter a 'password' and to confirm the password which can be mistaken for PIN and PUK.

Yeah I have seen this, however this definitely asks for P.I.N. (3 ATTEMPTS REMAINING) or please enter P.U.K. etc
