Is there a particular reason for this? Other than the obvious, "Because we need someone to start urgently". Is this a company policy or does it just apply to the post advertised?
The reason I ask is that I work in law enforcement and have a notice period of 3 months. This could be reduced by taking annual leave but to nowhere near a month.
I imagine that most other law enforcement employees also have a notice period of greater than a month (happy to hear otherwise) so surely you're excluding applications from (some) individuals within law enforcement?
