Hi all,
I didn't see an introductions section so I figured I'd just post it here.
I'm not actually a forensics professional, I actually work in data recovery at Data Medics. Spend most of my time fixing hard drives and reverse engineering failed RAID arrays. However there's a lot of crossover in the technologies we work with, so I'm always interested to see what others are discovering.
I've recently been considering setting up a hardware/software solution to brute force break encryption on certain WD SED drives, so I'll be anxious to talk to some of you who are encryption experts.
Happy to be a part of a new forum.
Jared
Hi Jared,
Nice to meet you! Greetings from London 😉
Your brute force solution sounds intriguing, I'm sure it will be of interest to a lot of people on the forum. There's a Forensics Software section, which might be the best place to post about it so that it gets seen by the right kinds of people.
In the meantime, welcome to the forum and feel free to drop me a line if there's anything I can do to help out.
