UltraFast Drone Shutdown - Slingshot

We actually run a test of 3 slingshot DIY models against drones as an UltraFast Drone Shutdown UDS is required.

Does any other corps also test slingshots against drones e.g. in Israel?

The problem with UFDS (as well as NSDS) is the environment around.

In an open field, with noone around, (please read any normal experiment) *anything* will do.

In a situation like a densely populated area (manifestation, crowd, etc.) a slingshot is a no-no for two reason
1) potential injuring or lethal effect of the projectile
2) very, very complicated aiming and tensioning of the slinghshot,

And the generically poor accuracy of a "normal" slingshot unless the user is an expert at it, implying either a very low probability of hitting the target or having additional training to LEO's.

Using a "gatling singshot" seems promising

though the exact nature of the projectile in use might still be an issue as per the #1 above.

Still IMHO a potato gun (or similar large mouth compressed air powered device (basically a short plastic piece of pipe), blasting "soft" materials) would solve both the issues, while still having good portability on field.

Good points. The projectile in general is a problem. If possible I would tend to operate a laser beam to burn. But these very expensive systems get installed permanent at airports civil and mil.

The unsolvable element actually is the One-Time-Flight OTF fast and over immediately. We tried and evaluated all sort of solutions, they all are not really mobile and way too slow.

UltraFast like a glimpse is difficult.

The element of shooting training with clay pigeon we did test on a river with wood-based plastic ballons. Did work fine. The holdover time is not easy but can be learned.

GPS Jammers are very problematic and the Wifi MITM attack to take over we once learned that it also can be turned against ourselfs -(

We expect public swimming pools drone attacks this summer.

There was a youtube video of a Parrot drone getting disabled by a confetti cannon at a music festival. It's no longer online however there is a gif of what happened on Sploid [https://goo.gl/rwLECG]. The drone was filming the DJ on stage, and the operator realized the cannon was about to fire. In the gif you see the drone pull back just as the cannon fires what looks to be mylar streamers. The streamers get caught in the right hand side props, and the drone falls out of the sky.

In this case, some sort of active radar or similar connected to a brace of confetti cannons and rigged to go off if object A is traveling faster than X speed might be feasible. This would ensure that in the event of a ufd it would most likely be disabled either by RF interference (radio reflective mylar) and/or the mylar getting caught up in the morot/prop.

This is just my theory, and I may quite possibly be off the mark.

So, given that a "confetti cannon" or "potato gun" works nicely at least for the low-quote drones that may constitute a harassment, what do you expect to be feasible to prevent those dreadful attacks? 😯

1) dispatch at each and every pool a (trained) policeman with one of these non-lethal weapons or introduce a new figure of public servant, the AADDEE (anti-aircraft and drones defense emergency expert) or make sure that each and every lifeguard (on duty at the public pool) has one (and is quickly trained to use it), say, a (reduced/economic) sort of handheld gun along the lines of a Skywall 100

2) install at each and every pool an automated drone shooting system, like - still say - a cheaper, lower power version along th elines of the SkyWall 300

The issue I see in advance, no matter which of the above is (or something else along similar ways) is the sheer amount of firepower needed.

I mean, if I was to attack a public pool with a drone, I would rather use - given the low cost of drones - a KCS approach using two or more drones (or even a swarm of them), so the defense system needs to be multi-shot.
Again the gatling slingshot or a Katiuscha of potato guns would be then needed.
