Senior eDiscovery Executive, London, £70k - £80k

As Senior Executive you will be responsible for managing the eDiscovery and client technology elements of a number of client matters which have been assigned to them by the Managers. You will be likely to be required to manage more complex aspects of cases, and will also guide and mentor more junior team members.

Key responsibilities


• Identify and understand client needs and to execute the recommended technical solutions
• Work directly with clients (internally and externally) to ensure a high level of excellent client service is provided
• Maintain the integrity of client and firm data, including evidence handling, processing and data tracking
• Liaise with other team members as well as external vendors to ensure that correct solutions and processes are implemented in a cost effective manner and delivered on time
• Work collaboratively with team members, including supervising as appropriate any tasks delegated to Executives or Analysts and to be proactive about consistency and quality control throughout
• Execute tasks with a high level of attention to detail
• Take the lead on individual cases, reporting to and updating Managers on a regular basis
• Assist in the preparation of and presentation to internal and external audiences
• Participate in post case reviews
• Assist internal stakeholders to work effectively with document review software and with other relevant IT systems for handling case-related information
• Possess a sound understanding of the functionality of document review software and be regarded by others in the firm as experts
• Work to develop, maintain and continuously improve best practice eDiscovery processes
• Advise on eDiscovery processes and protocols, including communicating with Client Technology/Litigation Support representatives of clients and/or opposing law firms on disputes when applicable
• To identify and to share their own training needs as appropriate
• Assist with building a cohesive, high performing team
• Contribute to the professional development and unity of the team through knowledge sharing
• Assist with raising the profile of the eDiscovery team both internally and externally and to raise the understanding and recognition of its role
• Assist with reporting, billing and other team administration tasks
Qualifications and skills
• You must demonstrate evidence of operating at an appropriate level in the eDiscovery or technical client data field
• Expertise with Case Management Software such as Axcelerate, Relativity, or similar
• Expertise in document management/reviews and/or case work at required level
• Proficiency in technical skills
• Advanced understanding of eDiscovery workflow and processes
• Capable of articulating technical concepts effectively. Able to draft concise, accurate and credible notes/emails to explain the eDiscovery process
