Hi, I am new on the this forum. I hope to learn and contribute here.

I have read the post [1] and it was mentioned that a specially crafted and signed boot image was able to bypass FRP lock.

A samsung device (SM-G570M) is blocked and we need to bypass the lock to extract its information. The UFED extractions available were not able to extract the device, that is locked by password.

I have downloaded the Stock ROM for the device, unpacked the boot.img and made the desired changes on the initialization files. I repacked the boot.img and self-signed the boot.img using [2], BUT the device keeps saying that the custom binary is blocked by FRP.

Did someone bypassed the FRP lock somehow?

Here we are using UFED 4PC and touch. We are not able to do JTAG and Chipoff yet.

Thanks to any contribution in advance.
Best regards,

Aristeu

I have perfectly rooted SM-G570M (Samsung j5 prime) latin america running 7.0 Android

Check on XDA forum for twrp official for it. Then install, and use MESA fix to bypass official binary protection. Finally root with magisk

Hi Droopy,

Thanks for the tip.

I've just tried this now and the process exited with error.

It was the same message as before on download mode "Custom binary(RECOVERY) Blocked by FRP Lock".

On the earlier attempt to flash boot.img, instead of RECOVERY was BOOT, obviously.

Apparently the images need to be signed by the manufacturer, or something like that, no?

I use TWRP a lot too, it's very handy, but instead of rooting the device, I do enter in the TWRP terminal and make a DD image from the mmcblk0 to a microSD card, resulting also in a physical dump.

Regards,
Aristeu

Remember to use OEM UNLOCK option in developper mode, else you will see this error.

Try flashing again stock firmware. This will solve it

@droopy, the device is locked by password, as I said on the first message.

So no access on device configuration.

Im looking at FRP removal on various Samsung devices

I have an Octopus Dongle
Fonefunshop Unlocker box and a 523K resitor UART cable

The model you have stated looks like the FRP can be removed without loss of User Data, this will then allow you to TWRP

Look at www.fonfunshop.com

Hope it helps

Regards

Paul

Hello,
i have a question on this discussion. I think android 7 comes with encryption?
When the bootloader is changed I think the keys will be gone too.

Kindly guide.

No. This is not the case. Bootloaders are also updated during OTA updates and data is still fine after that process.

From what I read, you are "trying things" on a live device, which is not the best practice for sure. There are several risky ways for resolving your issue and only a few ones with low risks or risk-free, but those cost some money.

If you face an important case, feel free to PM me.
