Internet Evidence Finder older versions

Post Posted: Oct 22, 18 23:40

Hello, i had purchased IEF from Magnet Forensics version 6.7 and i had a contract until November 2016. Unfortunately we didn't update the software within the year and we still have the executable installation of 2015.

Does anyone have some newer installation of the software like version 6.8 , 6.9 or later that can share with me so i can install it ? I asked the Sales team of magnet forensics and they told me that they will not give me a download link of any later version, even though i had support for later versions.

None of this sounds above board.

If you have a license that expired, they will give you the version up to the point of when your license expired.

You should be able to use whatever version of IEF was publicly available as of your SMS expiry date. Reach out to support, they should be able to provide you with older versions of IEF or AXIOM that was valid when your SMS was valid. They'll need your dongle ID to confirm what versions would have been valid for your specific license so make sure you have that available.

It may help you.

It's refreshing to see that in your periodical plug for the Institute of Computer Forensics and Criminal Investigations you didn't mention "ICFECI".

No, wait, I just did that. Shocked
