Hello everyone my first post here.

I am asking this question as I have some files that I had extracted off of my own Samsung Note 4 via root explorer some time ago as none of the backup apps seemed to backup the files in private node correctly, thinking I'd just be able to replace them back into the same device or decrypt them in some other fashion which I'm discovering isnt so simple even with all the data and keys the device used to encrypt and decrypt these files I am not certain how to go about it…

Also I am no longer able to utilize the original device but I have virtually all of the devices file system including the contents of data, sys, usr and so on.

So to recap I have been left with the physical private mode folder with the files which have bizzare nonsense file types and notably no mime type. Here's an example filename EN.FXYPAa1mAuOZYkaco.M2PN3ED9T..Olxlh9Z.21CK-

I've attempted various things like
*attempting to intercept the android intent adding the mime type and handler
*simply changing the extention back to mp4 (most of the files in question are mp4 originally)
*using programs that can encrypt and decrypt however my knowledge of these is limited

Things I believe may help
*knowing the exact cipher type Samsung used in private mode from Android 4 I believe it was at the time
*any software that deals with these kinds of filess

Thoughts? Feelings? Anyone?
