Have an iPhone 5c that will not offer the Trust option. When plugged into a Mac iTunes says it is being supervised by another computer. I figure it was Apple Configurator used to set up the supervision.
The phone is unlocked but was locked at one time. Law Enforcement used Gray Key to unlock it and then created a UFED file and returned the phone. Waiting on LE to provide the UFED reader report but want to be able to access the phone
Any suggestions or methods on how to maintain data on the phone (messages, pictures and videos) and be able to plug the phone into a computer and access it?
The device has very likely been setup to prevent host-pairing, so only one computer can be connected.

No way around that? How would LE been able to get the UFED file?
You would have to establish where the restrictions were implemented. Is it enrolled in MDM or supervised using Apple configurator? Without the original computer you may not be able to turn this off.

Luckily you have the UFED/GrayKey image so you should have all the data.
But I don’t get how the police were able to do it? The owner of the phone is deceased. It seems like they were either able to bypass it or they are the ones that established the supervision.
GrayKey (available to LE only) can bypass these restrictions
That explains it.. thanks
