has anyone run into a bitlocker volume from a beta machine as of yet? any tools to work around this? just curious, i have not really looked into it myself but i noticed that it is a standard feature on vista out of the box...

Hi,

I'm not worrying about Vista's bitlocker yet. It's only going to be available on a few of the more expensive versions, it's not easy to switch on to encrypt by default and do we really think users will trust a brand new Microsoft product? I expect most users that do have a Vista version with bitlocker will still use the encryption tools they've always used, at least for the first 2 or 3 years. By that time a new panic would have arisen.

It looks pretty...of course they will. If its free and looks cool they will install it.

I have to agree. It's only the people that work in the tech fields that will wait and watch to see how the new Micosoft product will perform.
