I was looking to purchase a license of VFC to ease the process of creating VMs from forensic images. Usually, I go to the GetData website to purchase a license. However, GetData ditched the VFC product since they integrated the VM component in their Forensic Explorer software for pretty much the same price as the VFC software alone.

I would like to know if some of you have tried the Live Boot feature in Forensic Explorer and compared how does it stack up against VFC in terms of ease of use, success rate, etc.

The live boot feature is not available in the eval version of Forensic Explorer, so I can't try it my myself without purchasing a license…

Thanks.

Would a free solution not work for you?
