FMS Group - RF Survey Engineer - Thatcham, Berkshire

Since 2003 FMS have been one of the UK's leading suppliers to both Prosecution and Defence, of expert evidence services relating to the use of Cell Site Analysis.

We are currently recruiting for a RF Survey Engineer to join our team. Salary subject to experience.


• Capture the mobile phone network at specific locations
• Obtaining and analysing network readings on GSM, UMTS and LTE networks


• Working knowledge of the mobile phone network operation
• Analysing RF survey data relating to mobile phone networks
• Data analysis and able to present findings in a clear manner both in writing and orally
• Knowledge of different call detail records provided by the telecommunication industry
• Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Knowledge of radio propagation/planning methodologies


• 5 years previous experience

Skills and Abilities

• Good oral and written communication
• Work independently with limited supervision and under pressure
• Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment
• Court procedure, disclosure requirements and maintaining evidential continuity and integrity
• Explain complex issues in a clear, unbiased manner
• Production and presentation of reports and statements to an evidential standard

Other Role Requirements

• Due to the nature of the role applicants will be required to be security vetted CRB and CTC; therefore applicants must be currently and permanently resident in the UK and have been for at least 3 years
• Full driving licence
