What would be the best laptop to get for digital forensic investigations? I have been told DELL XPS3 is performant and robust, others suggested LENEVO and MACBOOK. I came across the latest HP OMEN with a very powerful configuration , have anyone heard of it or used it ? Any suggestions would be much appreciated on this.

Depends what you want to use the laptop for really.

Have a look at Sumuri talino laptops, they are very powerful workstation spec laptops and at a good price.

At our office we have just received HP Zbook 17" 64GB RAM, 4 SSD's, 6GB graphics card.

I am very happy with my Lenovo P50.

My Lenovo P50 is configured with 64 GB of RAM and three (3) SSD drives.

It is very compact but powerful.

You cannot go wrong with any Sager laptop.
An important feature overlooked is a good graphics card (to use the GPU power)

They are heavy @ 10+ pounds. However, with that comes really a desktop replacement and no bottlenecks.
