• You must be passionate and enthusiastic about information security and be proactive to increase your knowledge and skills in this area. Including keeping up to date on industry developments, standards, methodologies and vulnerabilities.

• You must have excellent communication skills and be customer focused.

• Due to the nature of incident response, having your own transport would be beneficial and you must be able to react at short notice when needed.

• Experience of analysing forensic evidence, report writing and the ability to communicate complex technical data to the lay person is also a must have.

"Salary: £20,000 - £28,000 per annum"

...I would be surprised if you get someone experienced for that salary, but good luck!

Hello

The role is not for a seasoned investigator, it is an entry level position for someone to get into the world of Incident Response and PCI Forensic Investigations etc.

Someone who maybe has a year or so under their belt in a HTCU, corporate environment or a talented graduate.

The job requirements and preferred skills are reflective of the position.

Thanks

I'm with Logan.

That seems like an incredibly low starting salary, even for a graduate / non-experienced hire.

Makes our field look like a bit of a joke. Who would want to come out of university with upwards of £30k debt with a £20k starting salary?

The starting salary will depend on a individuals experience and can be up to £28k as advertised, this is not a salary band, it is a starting salary.

The starting salary range is comparable with similar graduate/entry levels roles currently advertised within the industry. It is reflective of the time and resources needed to invest in the training and development of an individual with limited experience and as experience and skills increase so will their salary.

Individuals can decide themselves whether it is a job they are interested in.
