Extraction of Gmail from iPhone X

Post Posted: Jul 16, 18 17:10

In the past, I was able to successfully extract Gmail from an iPhone by first creating a new iCloud email account on a given iPhone, bulk copying/moving the Gmail on the iPhone itself to the newly created iCloud email account, synchronizing Outlook on a forensic workstation with the newly created iCloud email account, and then collecting the OST file Outlook created.

The above process did add the iCloud email migration step to each migrated emails' header, but I could account for and document this change.

Now when I attempted to migrate Gmail content on a client's iPhone X to a newly created Yahoo email account on the iPhone X itself, I can only move one Gmail email at a time to the Yahoo email account. I have confirmed that once a Gmail email is migrated to the Yahoo email account on the iPhone, the migrated email is then uploaded to Yahoo mail, which I can then collect using Aid4Mail Forensic as a PST file.

I created a Yahoo email account this time for collection purposes as an iCloud email account already exists on my client's iPhone; this iPhone was used by a former employee (now litigation opponent), so I cannot access the opponent's iCloud email account (but I can access the newly created Yahoo email account).

Has anyone else encountered this apparently new problem of "mass moving" of Gmail to another email account on iPhones being blocked?

Does anyone else have a technique to extract Gmail email content from iPhone Xs running iOS 11.0 or higher?
