building new cracking passwords RIG

hello all,
i hope u okay … i plan to build new cracking rig but i need some advice from u ,,, i search on internet i found 2 solutions
1- to go with multi GPU's motherboard from asus !! the have a motherboard with 19PCI slot's https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/B250-MINING-EXPERT/ … or use a servers from Tyan

2- some one told me to go with servers like dell servers with NVIDIA TESLA V100 32gb !!

If you're looking to build a powerful hash password cracking server then you're definitely on the wrong track with the Quadro cards.

First, those cards are Keppler, and Keppler sucks for password cracking. Second, GTX, Quadro, and Tesla all use the exact same GPU chips, they are just underclocked in Quadro and Tesla models. So the GTX variant of the card will always be faster than their Quadro and Tesla counterparts. The K4200 is basically an underclocked GTX 760 Ti, and the K5200 is basically an underclocked GTX 780. Both of which are terrible for password cracking.

The Titan X, on the other hand, is the fastest GPU available for password cracking. So this is kind of a no-brainer.

the other think i need to know what if i go with asus motherboard and i wanna add another GPU's to my cracking solution is there anyway to link 2 cracking rigs with each other and attack by total power for both !

so any recommendations or benchmark comparing both !!

This should be possible with Hashcat or one of these plugins for it

Is this for a once-off job, or an ongoing solution?

Once off, I'd use Amazon's AWS GPU instances. I've used these several times for short-term implementation and it's very cost effective.

Otherwise I'd look at mimicking their custom hardware, consulting on Hashcat's forums, and implementing Hashtopolis for distributing efforts across disparate systems.

General benchmarks are silly. They're only useful when you don't know what you are looking for, and either don't want to know, or hope someone has already done the job for you.

Compare the benefit each of them provides to your cracking workflow. Using these, does a particular job go faster? 'Better' in whatever meaning of the word you prefer? Can you do more work? What is the cost of doing a job? (this is both in terms of power costs, but you could easily have heat management costs as well). What is cost of lifetime of equipment? Will your jobs overheat your gear, and so cause major cost issues?

(I'm not saying how many million hashes per second, but how many hashes relevant to *your* typical crack situation. Meaningless if the gear does zillions of hashes for a situation you'll never see, or if they're poor hashes, i.e. brute force type only.)

Once you know those parameters, you have a benchmark, and one that fits your needs.

Make sure you do include cloud-based crack solutions as well how does a compute-cloud do using the same cost criteria?
