Hi all,

does anyone got the picture of how to setup imaging DAT tape by EnCase. Same process of imaging normal Hard drive?

Thanks

New to this forum & just read your message.
If you are still interested in producing an 'Image' of any Magnetic Tape media, I can recommend the following site (NB we use their software).

http://www.troika-int.com/

An 'Image' of the tape can be written to disk or any other media.

The person to speak to is Jill Lewis, and what she doesn't know about magnetic tape, going back thru the ages, including Formats, how it was manufactured and potential defects etc, isn't worth knowing.

hope this helps

Hi,

You may also like to consider tapecat from sanderson forensics. See

http://www.sandersonforensics.co.uk/tapecat.htm

The main issue to consider is what tape utility was used to create the tape.
