If a picture is supposedly worth thousand words, and a virtual tour of crime scene could be a piece of evidence that convinces the jury.

Crime scene investigation is a basic step in every criminal investigation. Crime Scene Virtual Tour (CSVT) provides a distinctive virtual reality solution for crime scene reconstruction, which is used to document and observe complete information for crime scene investigation and forensic analysis.

Based on 360 degree panoramic images, Crime Scene Virtual Tour is a multi-media tool which integrates crime scenes photos, interactive map, still images, slideshow, texts, audios, links, thumbnails, etc. It provides an easy way to reconstruct a 3D crime scene through photographs and offers unparalleled features for crime scene investigators, which takes them back to the crime scenes and enables them to wander through the scene.

With conventional photography, dozens of overlapping shots are needed to achieve a 360 filed of view, and you could still have confusing perspectives and limited range. But with CSVT, you can look at the scene from any angle and have an overall idea on the place without losing any suspicious clew. However, it is not just an album of 360 degree panoramic photographs. You can even zoom, pan, tilt and rotate the scene while considering the fact of the crime, as if you were really on the scene.

Interactive map is an important and unique feature in crime scene virtual tour. You may add a crime scene sketching beside the images, and use its synchronized scanning function just like radar. With this visible way, it is easier to orient every piece of object in the entire environment.
