All,

I'm curious as to where some of you might go to discuss (not read, but discuss) technical issues of forensic analysis, particular with regards to Windows systems.

I've been watching the thread on wikis and I'm seeing that my observations are shared by others.

I'd like to actually discuss topics (live response and post-mortem analysis, particularly of Windows systems) with someone. Are there any particular resources you use or sites you visit?

Thanks,

Harlan

I hit the Encase message boards regularly as well as this site, but I do most of my reading here 😉

m7esec,

Thanks for the input, but I was asking specifically about where you "go to discuss (not read, but discuss) ".

I haven't found that holy grail of peer discussion. All of the forums either are sporadic at best in updates or are filled with flames and controversy, not with practical help for practicing professionals.

If you find a good avenue let me know! Most of my discussions take place at either HTCIA meetings or the local Electronic Crimes Task Force gatherings.

Yes, and I discuss mostly on the Encase Message boards, as my initial response shows.

My reading part, was a bonus and was suppose to be a positive review of this forum as I do not have much to say regarding some of the more technical questions posted here.

Ahh, never mind…. Back to my lurking
