I'm investigating a residential burglary. The victim called me and said that someone was playing online with his stolen PS3. Can someone tell me the procedure for getting the IP address the PS3 logged in from? From what ive read I have to submit a MAC number or serial number to Sony. Does someone have a boilerplate subpoena to submit to Sony and an address?

I don't have one of their LE guides, but I'm sure a phone call or email to them might generate what you need.
I can't imagine this Sony guy would appreciate his details being posted openly in a public forum.

Harry,
I'm quite sure he is just fine with it since the information came from Sony in the first place.

Cheers!
Apologies, I am surprised they are OK with the contact details being so public.

He works a customer service job. Pretty sure he wants his contact info out there. I got the same thing from SCEA support. Thanks for the info Ed.
I'd either try a Google Search, if you have not already found what you are looking for or contact someone from the department that is distributing the funds for Minnesota ICAC.
The contact info IMO is the biggy. I would think you could start off with some sort of Facebook template and change the wording if you can't find one that is specific to Sony. Let me know if you need a Facebook warrant.
I have one thanks. SCEA emailed a packet with info. If there is something useful I'll post it here.
